Five New Key Disciplines at Provincial Level in NCEPU

Currently, according to the two files—The Notification Concerning the List of the Added Key Disciplines in Beijing Announced by Beijing Municipal Education Commission and Beijing Municipal Academic Degrees Committee (Beijing Municipal Education Commission [2010] No.4), and The Notification Concerning the Results of the Assessment of Institutions of Higher Education on Provincial Key Disciplines in Hebei and the New Added Selections Announced by Education Department of Hebei Province (Education Department of Hebei Province [2010] No.15), two new key disciplines of municipal level/ and 3 of provincial level are added in NCEPU, making the total of 16 key disciplines at provincial and ministerial level in NCEPU.
 

    1. Energy & Environment Engineering—Interdiscipline in Beijing
    2. Administration Science & Engineering—First-level Discipline in Beijing
    3. Mechanical Design & Theory—Second-level Discipline in Hebei Province
    4. Signal & Information Processing—Second-rank discipline in Hebei province
    5. Theoretical Physics—Second-rank discipline in Hebei province
 
    Based on the “Eleventh Five-year Plan” and the hard work of all NCEPU faculty and students in recent years, the construction work of key disciplines in our university has achieved a lot: the number of key disciplines increases rapidly and its layout keeps optimizing. In addition, the traditional dominant and the primary disciplines are booming, and the new emerging interdisciplines are rising. As a result, the academic discipline system of “the Great Electricity” focusing on emerging energy, which is based on dominant disciplines and supported by disciplines of liberal arts and sciences, will have been further enriched and improved.
