President of Novosibirsk State Technical University, Russia Visited NCEPU

On June 7th, President H.B. Bushidawoyi, Vice President Mr. Cui of Novosibirsk State Technical University, Russia and Mu Xianming, Director of Confucius Institute of this university  visited NCEPU. Attended were: Wu Zhigong, Party Secretary of NCEPU; Li Chengrong, Vice President of NCEPU;, Liu Yongqian, Director of International Cooperation Department; Xu Lingling, Deputy Director of International Cooperation Department; Duan Chunming, assistant Dean of International Institute of Education and Chen Lei, assistant Dean of School of Mathematics and Physics.

 
    Secretary Wu extended warm welcome to the old friends from afar Russia, and briefly introduced the developments of NCEPU in recent years. Since both sides are members of “Shanghai Cooperation Organization University”, they have many similar goals in the development. President Bushidawoyi introduced Novosibirsk State Technical University in details: the university, a former college of electronic and electric Power Engineering, has become a multi-disciplined university with 24,000 students after many years’ development. Nowadays, this university enjoys certain prestige in majors like energy, electric power machinery, automobile manufacturing, technical physics, and applied mathematics. The president also delivered a series of scientific achievements to NCEPU, hoping two sides will conduct more cooperation in scientific achievement technology transfer.
 
    Vice President Cui felt very pleased to see Secretary Wu again. He said that Russia would send two top students to study in NCEPU this September. And Novosibirsk regional government will hold a “Youth Innovation Conference” in September of this year. At that time, they would invite NCEPU professors well-known in energy to participate in and serve as judges. Next summer, they will organize a “summer school” on green energy and hope to invite NCEPU students to take part in the project. He pointed out that two sides should strengthen the contact and exchange between schools and professors, and conduct comprehensive cooperation more extensively and deeply.
 
    The two sides reached a cooperation agreement on science, education, culture exchange and cooperation.
