Doctor Yu Xinghuo from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University Addressed NCEPU

On December 28th, Doctor Yu Xinghuo from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University (RMIT) arrived in North China Electric Power University and addressed NCEPU faculties and students a speech titled “On Discretization of Sliding Mode Control” in the lecture hall of the main building.

    The meeting was presided by Professor Han Pu, Director of Automation Department. Doctor Wang Yinsong and Doctor Wang Dongfeng who pursued knowledge after Professor Yu as visiting scholars in Australia, and other NCEPU faculties and students attended this report which was very mind-broadening and thought provoking especially in linear control and sliding mode control.

    Professor Yu Xinghuo acquired his bachelor’s and master’s degree in University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 1982 and 1984 respectively. He was honored doctor of Southeast University (SEU) in 1988. Currently, he works as Professor of RMIT, Director of University Platform Technology Institute of RMIT, Vice Chairman of IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, IEEE fellow, distinguished professor of SEU and visiting professor of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HKPU).
