At this contest, all the participants held a positive attitude and made full preparations so that each round of competition was fierce. Therefore, on the final stage, as the competition turned white hot, many programs were presented beyond the mandarin artistic level of ordinary Chinese students.

The foreign students of NCEPU had a wonderful show in this competition and a half of the total programs that NCEPU had submitted won prizes. The students of NCEPU made their appearance in every round of the contest, and when making self-introduction, each of them felt very proud to say that they came from North China Electric Power University. The Chinese students from Chinese Class 7 of Human & Social Science School of NCEPU sacrificed their leisure time and formed a cheer squad to shout support for the participants of NCEPU. After all, NCEPU had left a great impression on the leaders, supervisors, working staff as well as other participants and audiences present.

At night after the competition closed, the crew of Paying Three Visits to the Cottage of NCEPU and other final winners were invited to receive a special interview on this mandarin star contest in Common Ground of Beijing TV Station. Professor Huo Yueli from NCEPU, Liu Limin, the director of Beijing Municipal Commission of Education, Qiu Xiaoping, chief of the Foreign Affairs Department in Beijing Municipal Commission of Education, and President Cui Xiliang from Beijing Language and Culture University were invited as honored guests in this special interview.
