The 3rd Session of the 5th Teachers’ Representatives Conference Closed

The 3rd Session of the 5th Teachers´ Representatives Conference came to a successful close on the morning of February 21st. School leaders present included Wu Zhigong, Liu Jizhen, An Liansuo, Li Heming, Lei Yingqi, Li Chengrong, Li Shuangchen, Hao Yingjie, and Yang Yongping. At the session, Party Secretary Wu Zhigong delivered an important speech. Yin Chengqun (President Assistant and Dean of Discipline Office), Zhang Tianxing (Head of Organization Department of the Party Committee), Wang Zeping (Head of Electrical & Electronic Engineering School) and Ji Changming (General Party Branch Secretary of Renewable Energy School) also addressed at the session. Resolution of 3rd Session of the 5th Teachers´ Representatives Conference (NCEPU) was passed at the session presided by An Liansuo, vice president of NCEPU.

    Party Secretary Wu Zhigong emphasized the following issues so as to carry out and implement the spirit of this conference:

    Firstly, study and implement the Scientific Development View in depth, and create a sound environment for the construction of a high-level university with distinct characteristics.

    Secondly, deepen reform of the cadre system with the guidance of the Scientific Outlook of Development so as to form a high-level managment team .

    Thirdly, taking the study of the Scientific Outlook of Development as an opportunity, actively prepare for the Party Representative Conference, so as to improve university management and pull forward university integration.

    Finally, Secretary Wu confirmed that the 2009 Teachers´ Representatives Conference had lined out a clear blueprint for future work of this university. He hoped that all sectors would pull forward propaganda and implementation of the report of President Liu and Resolution of the Conference, and accomplish all tasks out forward in the conference with the hard work of all stuff. Meanwhile, the developing plan for 10 to 12 years should be made with guidance of the Scientific Outlook of Development and Planning Outline for Middle/Long Term Reform and Development of National Education, and we should step out with confidence in the construction of a high-level university.
