Liu Jizhen, President of NCEPU, visited Nanjing Electric Power Enterprises and Institutions to promote industry-academy-research cooperation

From Oct. 17th to 18th, NCEPU president Liu Jizhen, president assistant Sun Zhongquan and others went to Nanjing city in Jiangsu Province. They visited the State Electric Power Research Institute, Nanjing Nanrui Relay Protection Electric Co., Ltd. and Electric Power Company of Jiangsu Province to further promote mutual understanding, exchanges and cooperation in such areas as industry-academy-research cooperation between our university and power industry in Jiangsu Province.

    President of the State Electric Power Research Institute Bu Fanqiang, vice president Yan Huafeng, board chairman of Nanjing Nanrui Relay Protection Electric Co., Ltd. and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Shen Guorong, general manager of the Electric Power Company of Jiangsu Province Fei Shengying and others expressed their warm welcome to President Liu Jizhen and his group.

    President Liu Jizhen gave an introduction about NCEPU discipline building, personnel and teachers training, scientific research, cooperation among enterprises, universities and research institutes and services provided for power industry and local economic development. He said that, by taking the initiative to meet the needs of society, our school had been carrying out strategic thinking and practice in such areas as personnel training, discipline building and teacher training, and we had achieved a rapid development. Unversity-enterprise cooperation was one of the main achievements of our university in recent years, which provided personnel and technology guarantee and endless driving force for the further development of electric power enterprises. He expressed his hope that we could strengthen communication and cooperation between each other so as to form a strategic cooperation relationship. President Liu Jizhen also introduced the preparation of our school’s 50th anniversary celebration to all the leaders and invited them to participate in this great event.

    Leaders from the power industry enterprises and institutions expressed their congratulations for the fast and steady development as well as the great increase of comprehensive power of NCEPU over the past 50 years. They also expressed their appreciation for the personnel and technology support our school provided for the power industry. They said that, as the only"211 Project" key university with the characteristics of energy and power education, NCEPU had shown its strong strength and distinctive characteristics in such areas as discipline building, personnel training, and scientific research. By focusing on meeting the actual needs of enterprises, NCEPU had carried out a high-level cooperation with electric power enterprises and had made important contributions for the development of the national power industry. At present, China´s energy and power companies continued to expand the scope of business and a large number of top-notch innovative personnel are urgently needed to meet the development of modern China´s energy and power enterprises. They hoped to maintain close and friendly cooperation with our school, complement each other’s advantages and pursue mutual benefits and development. Finally, they expressed their congratulations for the 50th anniversary of our university and happily accepted the invitation to participate in this great event.
