Strategic Cooperation Agreement Signed between NCEPU and FISAE

On the morning of October 8th, the university signed the strategic cooperation agreement with the Foundation for International Studies and Academic Exchanges (FISAE). Wu Zhigong, Secretary of NCEPU Party Committee, Zhu Changbao, former Deputy Secretary of NCEPU Party Committee, Cui Yongqian, Vice President and Secretary of the FISAE, Wu Enke, a Chinese ambassadors to Egypt and member of the national committee of CPPCC, Yang Yunlong, Deputy Secretary General of FISAE, and leaders of the university’s relevant schools and departments attended the signing ceremony.

    Secretary Cui said he was very pleased to sign the strategic cooperation agreement with NCEPU on behalf of FISAE,. He said it was of great historical meaning to establish strategic cooperation with a university like NCEPU. Most FISAE members are former ambassordors to other countries. They have been engaged in diplomatic work for long time and are familiar with various situations of those countries, including that of the energy resources and electric power. NCEPU enjoyed unparalleled advantage in energy and power subjects and others concerned, so our cooperation would be bright and fruitful if we keep to a mutual honesty principle. We should enhance our cooperation not only in energy aspect but in teaching. FISAE members should give lectures on international situation and hot issues to broaden students’ vision. At the same time, the Foundation would take advantage of its talents to assist our university’s political theory teaching. He hoped, through joint efforts, we could bring substantial benefits to both parties as well as to the country

    Secretary Wu extended warm welcome to Ambassador Cui and his group and spoke highly of the signing ceremony. Wu said that NCEPU is second to none in the field of energy and power research. The university aims to become a high-level, multi-disciplinary research-based and internationalized university. The ceremony was of irreplaceable significance in promoting the construction of “211 projects”, realization of future strategic goals like developing our university into such a university as mentioned above. Although we had unique advantage in the field of energy resources and electric power, the current energy system do not include energy and power diplomacy, energy politics, etc. It is our undeniable responsibility and historical mission to have a say in these fields. The strategic cooperation agreement signed between our university and FISAE is bound to make innovation and new breakthroughs in the construction of such subjects. As for talents cultivation, it serves as an important support for our cultivation of multi-disciplinary and compound talents, who are in urgent need on part of enterprises. Meanwhile, signing the strategic cooperation agreement with FISAE was of great importance for our university’s internationalization. The support and help of the ambassadors from FISAE was indispensable for us on how to exert impact and shape an influential cultivating mode of scientific research and talented students on global scale.  Finally, Secretary Wu hoped we could take advantage of the ceremony to fortify our communication and cooperation and work together for mutual benefits and to make tomorrow a better day.

    According to the agreement, the relevant departments of our university and FISAE will center on our country’s demand of energy development strategy and put our respective strengths to full play. And we will carry out cooperation and communication in various forms regarding energy diplomacyenergy politics, energy strategy, energy law, talents cultivation scientific research, etc.
