Board of Directors of NCEPU Held a Work Conference

On October 8, the board of administration of NCEPU held a conference in Beijing. Vice chairman of the board, President of NCEPU Liu Jizhen, director and secretary-general of the board and dean of Human Resource Department of the State Grid Co., Ltd. Xu Shihui, director of the board and dean of Human Resource Department of China Datang Corporation Wu Hongju, director of the board, general manager assistant and dean of Human Resource Department of China Guodian Corporation Zhang Chengjie and all members of secretariat of the board participated the conference. Deputy Party secretary of NCEPU Hao Yingjie and president assistant Sun Zhongquan were also present. The conference was presided over by Xu Shihui, director and secretary-general of the board.

    Secretary-general Xu announced the proposal for board members rearrangement as follows. Comrade Jiang Yi (dean of the Human Resource Department of South China Grid Co., Ltd.) is appointed as the director of the board of NCEPU representing South China Grid. Comrade Cao Peixi (general manager of China Huaneng Corporation and deputy secretary of China Huaneng Corporation committee of CPC) will be the deputy director of the board representing China Huaneng Corporation, and Hong Jun (director of Teaching and Training Department of Teaching and Training Center of China Huaneng Corporation) will be a member of the secretariat of the board. Li Qingkui (deputy general manager of China Huadian Corporation and secretary of China Huadian Corporation committee of CPC) is designated as deputy director of the board of NCEPU, Xu Gang (deputy dean of the Human Resource Department of China Huadian Corporation) will work as the director of the board of NCEPU, and Yang Tiejun (director of Talent Development Sector of the Human Resource Department of China Huadian Corporation) is now a member of the secretariat of the board representing China Huadian Corporation. As for China Guodian Corporation, Zhu Yongfan （general manager of China Guodian Corporation and deputy secretary of China Guodian Corporation committee of CPC）is appointed to be the deputy director of the board of NCEPU and Fu Yanqiu (deputy director of Education and Training Sector of Human Resource Department of China Guodian Corporation) a member of secretariat. On part of China Electric Power Investment Corporation, Lu Qizhou (general manager and secretary of CPC committee of China Electric Power Investment Corporation) will be deputy director of the board, Li Qiang (director of Personnel and Training Affairs Sector of HR department of CEPIC) will be a member of the secretariat of the board. Li Heming (vice president of NCEPU) will be deputy secretary of the secretariat of the board of NCEPU.

    President Liu Jizhen made an introduction of the preparation for the 50th anniversary, speaking highly of the strategic significance of the 50th anniversary for the development of NCEPU. Regarding it as a great opportunity to deepen revolution and speed up development, school leaders have attached crucial importance to it and started preparation 6 months ago. So far all round work has been intensively and systematically carried forward. President Liu briefly introduced activity schedules as well. He said in the past few years, NCEPU has successfully solved the problem on the mechanism of self management, worked out the future objective for running the university, and entered national “211 project” with high level school construction. NCEPU thus placed its foot on fast development and gained gratifying achievement on scale of education, strength of scientific research and level of administration and operation. President Liu expressed the importance of support and help from the board of directors, and he also promised to keep the principle of “seeking development through contribution, seeking support through service”, promote cooperation effectively between the university and enterprises, and provide advanced technology and talent for all members of the board.

Representatives of the boards put forward many constructive ideas for the development of NCEPU. They agreed with each other that with the help of the board of NCEPU as a platform, cooperation between NCEPU and enterprises had created outstanding effect. They hope better and more effective communication could be realized between the two parts so that the talent cultivation, discipline setting, scientific research and training could meet the need of enterprises,  more talents will be cultivated and more scientific research achievements will be made.

    Considering the 50th anniversary as the most significant event this year, members of the board are committed to provide strong support for the anniversary. As cooperation between the university and enterprises is a bright path to a promising future, the rearranged board of NCEPU will fully play its role as a link to ensure a smooth development of NCEPU and make greater effort to the development of members of the board.
