Postgraduate Workstation co-operated by NCEPU and Beijing Huadian Fourmen Electric Power Control Technology Co., Ltd. was officially established

On June 20, the cooperation agreement signing and official launch ceremony of Postgraduate Workstation co-operated by NCEPU and Beijing Huadian Fourmen Electric Power Control Technology Co., Ltd was held in Beijing Huadian Fourmen Electric Power Control Technology Co., Ltd. Liu Jizhen (President of NCEPU) and Fang Chunyang (director of technology and environment department of China Guodian Technology & Engineering Co., Ltd.) cut the ribbons on behalf of each party respectively. An Liansuo (vice-president of NCEPU) and Huang Zhenjiang (general manager of Beijing Huadian Fourmen Electric Power Control Technology Co., Ltd.) signed the agreement at the conference presided over by Feng Shuchen (chairman of the board of Beijing Huadian Fourmen Electric Power Control Technology Co., Ltd and party secretary of China Guodian Technology &Engineering Co., Ltd.). Zhao Dongmei (vice director of Postgraduate School), Li Lin (vice director of Postgraduate School), Liu Xiangjie (vice dean of Automation School), Wu Kehe (dean of computer department),Huang Zhenjiang (general manager of Beijing Huadian Fourmen Electric Power Control Technology Co., Ltd), Yu Mei (vice general manager), Jiang Heqing (chief engineer), Huang Xiaobin (general manager assistant and dean of postgraduate work station) from Beijing Huadian Fourmen Electric Power Control Technology Co., Ltd. and chair persons of other related sectors all took part in the signing ceremony.

    On the ceremony, leaders of both parties delivered warm speeches for the establishment of this postgraduate work station and they all took it as a mutual beneficial program.

    Huang Zhenjiang mentioned in his salutatory that the company mainly supplies SIS to power companies, real-time and historical database system, series of digitizers, information security separation equipment and advanced energy-saving techniques and products, and other products with its own intellectual property rights. With industrial support from Guodian Technology &Engineering Co., Ltd and a scientific & technological support from NCEPU, its products were immediately put into production. With the R&D department and digital products department in charge of the R&D, the work station exploring, innovating and storing techniques, the cooperation will reach better realistic effect.

    Fang Chunyang (director of technology and environment department) pointed out that Guodian group had identified this “one focus with two foundations” strategic goal, that is, taking power generation as the focus and “resources” and “science and techniques” as its two foundations. To promote the optimization of power company resources through informatization with science and technique industry as the focus of development, in which process both NCEPU and Guodian group will have a wide development space and a rosy future.

    Liu Jizhen said in his speech that the attention this work station got from Guodian Group and Kehuan Group presented the important roles that enterprises, market and production-research-study integration play in Science & Technology Innovation. Many achievements have been attained with the cooperation between NCEPU and Beijing Huadian Fourmen Electric Power Control Technology Co., Ltd: first, Guodian Group set its training center in NCEPU; second, NCEPU signed cooperation agreement with Kehuan Group; third, Beijing Huadian Fourmen Electric Power Control Technology Co., Ltd, set up by Guodian Technology and Environment CO., Ltd in the form of share-holding, has become a platform for the promotion of NCEPU scientific research achievements; fourth, with the support of Guodian Group, we worked together to get the 863 thermal power project in fierce competition; fifth, this work station is now another achievement of this two parties. President Liu also pointed out that the reason we made such achievements was that we did those “in the right place at the right time with the right people”. The right time means that our country advocates science-technology innovation and university-enterprise cooperation, the right place indicates that NCEPU and Beijing Huadian Fourmen Electric Power Control Technology Co., Ltd are neighbors involved in close-related research areas, and “right people”, the most important factor, refers to our team spirit and common goal. Under the “one focus with two foundations” policy, Guodian Group lays great emphasis on R&D and its transformation, and has made great achievements in these areas. Guodian Group offered a sound platform for both parties and further cooperation in more areas is expected.

    When explaining the effects of university-enterprise cooperation, President Liu pointed out that the highly-emphasized university-enterprise cooperation system created a win-win situation for both university and enterprises and served many purposes. On the one hand, it can improve the innovation of universities and enterprises; on the other hand, it can cultivate more practical talents and further improve faculty quality. Mr. Liu also revealed that President Office had initially passed the proposal of extramural tutor selection as an important step towards quality control. Liu also required that this work station should be built into a model station which can really cultivate talents and make achievements.

    Feng Shuchen emphasized in his speech that group leaders and NCEPU leaders had given great support to their company, and he also expressed the wish to build this work station into a first -level postgraduate station with first-level achievements and talents. Finally, Mr. Feng wished NCEPU, Guodian group and Beijing Huadian Fourmen Electric Power Control Technology Co., Ltd make greater achievements in the scientific technique innovation.
