NCEPU Got Excellent Grade in the Undergraduate Teaching Evaluation

On April 9th, 2008, Ministry of Education printed and issued the Notice on Undergraduate Teaching Evaluation Result of the 198 Colleges and Universities. (NO.[2008]8) The result of our university’s Undergraduate Teaching Evaluation is Excellent.

    In 2007, Expert Group of the Ministry of Education started evaluating undergraduate teaching of the 198 colleges and universities including Peking University, Tsinghua University etc. In March 2008, Ministry of Education held the committee meeting to vote on the Evaluation results. 160 colleges and universities’ qualitative grades are excellent, while 38 universities and colleges got “Good” grade.

    From June 3rd to June 8th, 2007, the Expert Group of the Ministry of Education carried out a field evaluation to our university’s undergraduate course teaching, and highly praised our undergraduate course teaching.

     Undergraduate Teaching Evaluation is an all-around examination to the work of our university. In compliance with the principle of “promoting development and establishment by evaluation, and integrated evaluation and development with development as the core”, our university unites all efforts to sum up the experiences through the fifty years since NECPU was founded, so as to make clear our guiding principles in running the university. Meanwhile, it obviously improved our university’s teaching conditions and talent-cultivating system, promoted the establishment of electric power curriculum system which served the national electric power development, and further promoted NCEPU Spirit of “self-discipline, unity and progress, loving school and profession, excellence-pursued”. The evaluation not only advances our university’s work, but also pointed out the defects in our work, which strengthened our determination to take the way of comprehensive development with improving teaching quality as the core.

    Hope all the faculty and students further promote the NCEPU spirit, implement the idea of “establishing a responsible university” for running the university, continuously deepen the teaching reforms, improve the quality of teaching and strive hard to establish NCEPU into a high-level university.
