UCEPU undertake 8th Sino-Korea College Elite (spring)

      On April 1st in the afternoon,  the 8th Sino-Korea College Elite (spring), which was organized by the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Sino-Korea Cultural Youth Association (the Future Forest) of South Korea, Beijing Municipal Union of Students, and undertaken by North China Electric Power University, was held in the main building D260. The Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of NCEPU Li Shuangchen, the deputy secretary of the Communist Youth League Beijing Municipal Committee Yang Haibin, the South Korea “Future Forest” representative Quan Bingxuan and Seoul Youth chief Li Huisheng attended the forum.
 

 
  
      This forum is one significant event of “the 13th Sino-China College Students Volunteer Exchange Camp (spring)” which jointly organized by Beijing Youth League and Sino-Korea Cultural Youth Association (the Future Forest) of South Korea. With more than 150 members, the exchange camp consist of China and Korea college students as the main members and some representatives else from the World Wildlife Fund, the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification agencies, the Environmental Advocacy Center in Beijng, university experts and south Korean news media, research institutions, government departments, non-governmental organizations, etc.
 

 
 
      Yang Haibin, the deputy secretary of youth league of NCEPU, made an opening speech for the forum and wish a complete success to this session of the Sino-Korea College Elite. The spokesman of UNCCD Ms Yukie Hori made a speech, introduced the current situation of environmental protection that the environmental statue was unoptimistic and appealed us to protect circumstance being up to all. 
 

      
      The Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of NCEPU Li Shuangchen introduced the basic situation of NCEPU in the speech. In 2014, taking the opportunity of “the integration of jing-jin-ji” with the superiority of subjects, NCEPU contributes ideas and exerts efforts for problems of optimizing the energy structure, the efficient use of renewable energy and clean energy, air pollution control and energy laws and regulations, etc. He hopes the college students from China and South Korea could learn from each other and improve together. Taking the forum as a platform, the college students from both countries are supposed to enhance the employability and entrepreneurial abilities and environmental awareness in communication, while sow the seeds of friendship between China and South Korea in communication.
 

     
      The outstanding college representatives had an in-depth experience-sharing and discussion on three subjects, including young entrepreneurs, green campus development and haze governance. The young college students from two countries, considering the practical situation of their own state and keeping close contact with the current macro policy, make the use of adequate data and information to carry out relevant historical arguments.  Standing the youth-specific point of view, they put forward on how to improve the environment and haze governance, how to use the campus to carry out environmental protection, how to identify the self-positioning to solve the employment problems, etc.

      After the judges comments, Jin Taihao and other four students from South Korea received the “Best Creative Award”, Gao Zhien and other four students won the “Best Style Award”, the two students from NCEPU entrepreneurship experimental class won the “Best Fit Award”, the two students from Beijing Agriculture got the “Best in Show Award”, and other seven students received the “Best Team Award”.

      After the exchange forum, “the 13th Sino-China College Students Volunteer Exchange Camp (spring)” , which is organized by the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Sino-Korea Cultural Youth Association (the Future Forest) of South Korea, Beijing Municipal Union of Students, was often held in NCEPU. The representatives from both sides gave speeches and exchanged gifts, and students also had cultural exchange activities.
 

 

          
      Since the first time held in peking university, Sino-Korea College Elite jointly held by korea-sino future forest and Beijing youth league attracted thousands South Korean and Chinese college students to take part in, and turned to be an important part of two countries’ college students exchange development. Through the event, the youth share ideas and views about youth entrepreneurship, campus activities and haze governance, showing vitality and passion of contemporary youth and demonstrating their sense of responsibility and mission.
