President liu Jizhen led a team to visit the State Grid Smart Grid Research Institute (SGRI) in the afternoon, April 24 and had a broad and in-depth exchange of views with the leading group and relevant directors of SGRI. Participations include: President of SGRI, Mr. Sun Zhengyun, Secretary of Party Committee of SGRI, Mr. Wang Yanliang, Vice-President of SGRI Mr Qiu Yufeng and Mr Gong Xuehai, Vice-President of NCEPU Mr. Yang Yongping, Assistant of President of NCEPU Mr. Wang Qinghua, scholars from Thousand Talents Program Mr. Wang Haifeng and Mr. Huang Yongzhang, directors from Electrical and Electronic Engineering Institute, State Key Laboratory of Electrical Power System with Renewable Energy Sources, Science and Technology School, Graduate School, University-Enterprise Cooperation Office, and other experts and professors. At the forum, representatives from both sides successively introduced their current focus of study and key research projects of smart grid and jointly analyzed the solid foundation and broad space for strategic cooperation between the two sides. Based on the visions for future mutual development, the two sides had in-depth exchanges for their potential cooperation in development of high-level talents, research on key technology of smart grid, and scientific and technological innovation. Both sides expressed their resolution to give full play to their advantages to achieve mutual benefits and a win-win effect.
President Liu Jizheng said in the discussion that the strategic cooperation between NCEPU and SGRI is the extension of the university’s cooperation with China Electric Power Research Institute (China EPRI) in the past several decades and embodied the accumulated achievements of cooperation between NCEPU and research institutes affiliated to State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) such as SGRI in past years. As both SGRI and NCEPU hold a leading position in the research on smart grid and share common development objectives, the cooperation between the two sides will hopefully promote the development of smart graid in China.
