Midland Holdings Ltd. Jiangsu Donated CNY 8 Million Yuan to Support the Development of NCEPU

      The Donation Ceremony on which Midland Holdings Ltd. Jiangsu donated CNY 8 million yuan to the Education Foundation of NCEPU was held on April 24 in the Main Building. Participants to the ceremony are Mr. Wu Zhigong, Party Secretary and President of Education Foundation of NCEPU, Mr. Sun Pingsheng, Vice-President of NCEPU and Vice-President of Education Foundation of NCEPU, Mr. Sun Aimin, Chairman of the Midland Group,, Mr. Lu Chun,  General Manager of the northern region of Midland Group, and directors from Party Office, University Office, Science and Technology Institute, Education Fundation and other departments. Mr. Chen Zhaojiang, the Secretary General of Education Foundation of NCEPU, presided over the ceremony. 
 

      Mr. Sun Pingsheng and Mr. Sun Aimin signed the donation agreement.
 

      Mr. Wu Zhigong awarded the donation certificate and honorary director contract to Mr. Sun Aimin.
     
      Mr. Sun Aimin said that NCEPU was highly competitive in the field of power and electricity. After visiting the State Key Laboratory and talking with unniversity leaders, he was completed attracted by NCEPU. Mr. Sun hoped the donations from Midland Group could help NCEPU continue developing with its unique features and transport more excellent talents to the power industry. He expected that the Midland Group and NCEPU could have more opportunities to cooperation with each other.

        
      After expressing thanks to the Midland Group for its donation, Mr. Wu Zhigong pointed out that the university needs to collaborate with all sectors of the society to carry out research projects to achieve the objective of fostering international competitiveness in the field of higher education proposed by the First Congress of Party Representatives of NCEPU. The eighteenth CPC National Congress put forward the objective of making China an innovation-oriented country, while colleges and universities need the support of businesses to better play its role of innovators. As there is still a long way to go to become a world-class university as well as a world-class university education foundation, NCEPU is expecting broader cooperation with Midland Holdings to promote mutual growth.
