On the morning of May 7,Liu Jizhen, headmaster of NCEPU, Peng Yiqi, director-general of ministry of science and technology  basic research department , Liu Tao, director of the third brunch of National Natural Science Foundation engineering department, academician TaoWenQuan from Xi 'an Jiaotong University, Yang Yongping, vice principal of NCEPU, professor Satish Kandlikar from rochester institute of technology, Khellil Sefiane ,editor of the International Journal of Multiphase Flow, professor of the university of Edinburgh, Dongqing Li, former Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Microfluidics and Nanofluidics, Chief professor of Canada micro-nano fluid, Zhang Xing , thermal physics branch director of Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics, and nearly 400 experts and scholars from 16 countries and regions attended the opening ceremony presided over by Xu Jinliang.

President Liu Jizhen expressed warm welcome to the leaders and experts in his speech on behalf of the school. He pointed out that in recent years, under the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology, national natural science foundation and the scholars at home and abroad, NCEPU has achieved a series of new breakthrough and progress in fields like key platform construction, basic research and the international cooperation and exchange. In the construction of state key laboratory of new energy power system, national engineering technology research center of thermal  power and other national platform , NCEPU hosted  3 research projects of National  973 Plan of thermal power and energy saving ,  waste heat utilization of boiler and new energy power system. At the same time, NCEPU continued to promote the internationalization process, carrying out the substantial exchanges and cooperation with more than 120 international well-known universities and research institutions from US , UK ,France,Germany, Russia, Japan, etc.

Director Peng Yiqi first of all extended warm congratulations on the opening of the meeting on behalf of the ministry of science and technology .He pointed out that China is a state mainly based on fossil energy, and in the face of the global energy crisis and environmental problems today, energy conservation, emissions reduction and the development and utilization of new energy is of great significance. On behalf of the natural science foundation, director Liu tao extended congratulations on meeting. He pointed out that energy and energy efficiency is a common area of concern around the world, it needs scientists to conduct cutting-edge research to effectively solve the energy shortage problem, improving the quality of environment. For theses reasons conducting cutting-edge research in the field of heat transfer is of great significance. Professor Zhang Xing from Tsinghua university pointed out that the energy shortage and environmental issues are the burning problems for current human society, and this meeting facilitate people to attach importance to the basic scientific problems of heat transfer and other related disciplines. Professor Yan Yuying in his speech extended congratulations on the meeting on behalf of the university of Nottingham , and acknowledged the presence of experts and scholars from home and abroad. He introduced the information of university of Nottingham, university of Nottingham is a key university of Britain as well as a world famous energy college which has branches respectively in ningbo, China and Kuala Lumpur ,Malaysia.

Nearly 400 experts and scholars in the field of energy from 16 countries and regions, attended the meeting, part of the conference papers were recommended to international magazines such as Applied Thermal Engineering, International Journal of Multiphase Flow, Journal of International Journal Bonics Engineering etc.
