Admission Committee of NCEPU Established and Its First Meeting Held

        To further improve the rules and procedures on admission and give full play to the roles of collectivism in group discussion and decision-making, the NCEPU Admission Committee was established on June 30, taking into account the “Circular of the Ministry of Education Concerning Undergraduate Enrollment in 2014 (Jiaoxue [2014] No. 1)” and the “Circular of General Office of the Ministry of Education Concerning Law Enforcement and Supervision in College Entrance Examination in 2014 (Jiaojian [2014] No. 2)” issued by the Ministry of Education. The first meeting of the Admission Committee was held on the same day. President Liu Jizhen, vice president An Liansuo, deputy secretary Li Shuangchen, assistant to the president Guo Xiaofeng attended the meeting which was presided over by Li Shuangchen. Besides, the meeting received delegates from Students Affairs Office, Office of Teaching Affairs, Discipline Inspection Office, alumni as well as students.
         Liu Jizhen, director of the Admission Committee delivered an important speech. He pointed out that the Admissions Committee is made up of delegates from teachers, students and schoolfellows and the establishment of the Committee is not only an important initiative to realize transparency in undergraduate admission but also an important way for teachers, students and alumni to directly participate in school management and decision-making. Members of the Admissions Committee are obliged to fulfill their duty of democratic supervision as well as the publicity of our admission policy. NCEPU will continue to strictly enforce admission-related rules issued by the Ministry of Education and do a good job in admission and enrollment this year.
        Li Shuangchen announced "Decision on Establishing the Admission Committee of NCEPU" and released names of the Admissions Committee.
        Liu Chang’an, Director of the Office of Teaching Affairs, gave a brief introduction about the compilation principles and basis of the enrollment plan. Zhang Xinjuan, Director of Students Affairs Office and Director of the Admission office, elaborated on the general undergraduate enrollment situation of NCEPU, including: enrollment type, the corresponding enrollment plans, measures for the implementation, enrollment standards, principles and standards for using the reserved plan. And then, Fan Li, Director of the Office of Discipline Inspection, specified measures on law enforcement & supervision as well as punitive measures for law violations.
       In the end, the members discussed and adopted "Notice on Undergraduate Enrollment of NCEPU in 2014", which explicitly stipulated rules for undergraduate enrollment of NCEPU in 2014.
