Two More Programs with Professional Master Degree Authorized to NCEPU

     According to “Notice on releasing the list of newly added programs with professional master degree and cancelledprograms with professional master degree in 2014”issued by State Council Academic Degree Committee(Xuewei[2014]14)recently,two more programs including Master of Public Management (MPA) and Master of Applied Statistics (MAS) are authorized, enabling the number of programs with professional master degreeto increase from 6 to 8 in NCEPU.
    So far, there are 8 subjects with professional master degree in NCEPU:Master of Engineering (ME), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Engineering Management (MEM), Master of Valuation (MV), Master of Accounting (MPAcc), Master of Translation and Interpretation (MTI), Master of Applied Statistics (MAS), Master of Public Administration (MPA). Among those, MEcovers 10 majors such as electrical engineering, electronics and communication engineering, mechanical engineering, power engineering, industrial engineering, logistics engineering, control engineering, computer technology, environment engineering, software engineering, etc.
   The move to increase programs with professional master degree deepens the reform of postgraduate cultivation, promotes the restructuring of postgraduate education, enhances the quality of postgraduate education and meets the urgent need of the society and economic development for high-level applied talents. Based on the discipline layout of “Great Power” and “Plan for Developing both Liberal Arts and Sciences”, NCPEU receives two programs with professional master degree in liberal arts and sciences, thus opening up a whole new ball game for master cultivation with professional degree and enriching our discipline layout of “Great power” for nurturing masters with professional degreein NCEPU.
