The Number of Published Scientific Papers by staff of NCEPU Continued to Grow in 2013

      Recently, the statistics of scientific papers in China was released. According to the statistics, the number of published scientific papers by staff of North China Electric Power University continued to grow in 2013, and its ranking in China’s universities was rising steadily.
      By the statistics，a total of 1423 scientific papers of NCEPU were included by the Chinese Science and Technology Paper Citation Database(CSTPCD), which ranked the 37th in university of China. Compared with 2012 and 2011, it rose 8 and 38 places, respectively, and respectively increased by 23% and 26%. While 3446 papers were cited 6697 times which ranked the 47th in university of China, compared with 2012 and 2011, it respectively rose 9 and 18 places, and increased by 15% and 49%，respectively. 
      A total of 464 scientific papers of NCEPU were included by the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), which ranked the 88th in university of China, and during 2004 to 2013, there were 1155 papers were cited 8643 times which ranked the 118th in university of China. Compared with 2012 and 2011, the number of included papers by SCI respectively increased by 19% and 58%. In 2012 and 2011, the number of SCI included papers from NCEPU ranked the 83th and 89th, respectively.
     In total，922 scientific papers were included by the Engineering Index(EI), which ranked the 43th. Compared with 2012, the number of included papers was increased by 21%. In 2012 and 2011, the number of EI included papers from NCEPU both ranked the 41th.
   The comparison shows that the number of published papers of NCEPU in all kinds of scientific journals continued to grow in 2013, its ranking of publishing in China was rising steadily and the ranking of publishing abroad was tending towards stability.
