Students’ Art Group Present a Performance at home after the Touring for the Day of US Confucius Institute

     After the successful touring in United States for the Day of US Confucius Institute, students’ art group from NCEPU presented a wonderful performance at the auditorium on the evening of October 20. This performance continued the theme and content that promoted Chinese nation’s profound historical accumulation and traditional culture, and integrated Chinese traditional culture into every aspect of the performance. The President, Liu Jizhen, Vice Party Committee Secretary, Li Shuangchen, Vice President, Sun Zhongquan, member of the Party Committee and director of Organization Department, Zhang Tianxing, and the assistant principle and director of the Party School, Wang Qinghua came and watched the performance.
   
    The performance contained 12 programs. The audiences were impressed when the Chinese classical women’s group dance, Flowers’ Blossoming appeared. Next, Drunken Concubine, the most excellent part of the Beijing Opera, garnered a heated response.
    The atmosphere came to its climax by the cheerful folk song, Run Land Boat (the performer sang and danced at the same time, and danced like boating in water), and the dance Back to Fairyland When Dreaming that companied with the Chinese music instrument Erhu. The Chinese poem-adapted song Chinese Beautiful Hand which was created by Zhang Youchi and sang by Wang Yue made the audiences enjoy the wonder of Chinese classical poetry, and both of them were teachers of NCEPU. 
   
    When the touring programs were performed, a special guest, Mr. Huo Yong brought professional male’s solos for the audiences. Mr. Huo, A national first-class performer of Naval Political department of the Song and Dance Troupe and gold medalist of the first Golden Bell Awards in China, recorded solo version for School Song of NCEPU on the 55th anniversary of NCEPU.
After the song of The Great Yangtze River Rolls to Sea, the Toreador's Song, a classical song in Carmen，earned warm applause. At the audiences’ s enthusiastic request, Mr. Huo sang another joyful song the Happy Coachman, and presented best wishes to the whole school as well.
   
    Finally, the audience and all the performers sang the School Song of NCEPU together, which shows the cohesiveness of NCEPU. The beautifully synchronized singing and passionate melody reflected the NECPU’s spirit of striving for excellence.
