NCEPU Won the Title of National Top Hundred Websites of Universities and Best Foreign-Language Homepage

    The seventh Award of National Top Hundred Websites of Universities was announced recently. It was hosted by Chinese Ministry of Education students online under the instruction of Department of Policies and Regulations of Ministry of Education. The Chinese homepage of North China Electric Power University (NCEPU) won the title of National Top Hundred Websites of Universities, and the English homepage was awarded the Best Foreign-Language Homepage. It was the first time for NCEPU to won the two awards at the same time.

    Since the initiation of the selecting activity in July, 2014, the Education departments at all levels paid high attention to it, within six months, there were 29 provinces organized the related evaluation work, 395 universities actively participated in the voting, and the participation rate of MOE-administrated universities nearly reached to 90 percent. After a series of stages including publicity, declaration display, initial network voting, final selection offline, 100 universities were granted the Top Hundred Websites Award, 15 single awards and 10 special prizes for Excellent Mass Line Education Practice were announced too. NCEPU’s Chinese and English websites, with the simple atmospheric design, integration style, content update frequency and high evaluation from the users, finally got the high praises from the judges, and won the Award of National Top Hundred Websites of Universities as well as the Best Foreign-Language Homepage. NCEPU was one of the few universities that was granted two honors at the same time.
