Good News about Personnel Training of International Students in NCEPU Comes in Succession

    Recently, in the selection of Excellent International Student by China Scholarship Council (CSC) and the selection of Excellent Graduation Thesis of North China Electric Power University (UCEPU), the international students from our university have performed well and good news has come in succession.

AHMED RABEE KAMEL SAYED, a 2017 Egyptian doctoral student, majored in electrical engineering under the tutor Bi Tianshu. During his study in NCEPU, he got an average score of 90.2 and published 4 papers in Applied Energy and other journals. Dr. AHMED is also an assistant lecturer at Cairo University who teaches in the Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. In 2019, Ahmed was selected as Excellent International Student by CSC with excellent academic achievements and good performance.

MOSTAFA MOHAMED ABDELSAMIE ISMAEL, a 2017 Egyptian doctoral student, majored in thermal engineering under the tutor Xu Chao. During his study in NCEPU, he got an average score of 91.8 and published 5 SIC journals in Energy and other international journals. MOSTAFA is also an assistant lecturer at Helwan University who assists Helwan University and NCEPU to set up relations on cooperation and exchange, to promote the establishment of stable and long-term cooperation mechanisms for personnel training and academic research. In 2019, Dr. MOSTAFA was selected as Excellent International Student by CSC with excellent academic achievements and good performance.

SAJID, a 2016 Pakistan doctoral student, majored in renewable energy and clean energy research under the tutor Li Meicheng. SAJID has published four SCI papers since entering NCEPU, two of which have been published at the international top journal Nano Energy. He has won the Learning Excellence Award by NCEPU for many times. This year, Sajid is about to graduate, and his graduation thesis Research on Low-cost Hole-transporting Layer Materials for Stable and Efficient Perovskite Solar Cells was awarded as the Excellent Graduation Thesis of NCEPU. Dr. SAJID said that if possible, he would continue to stay in China for postdoctoral research this year.    

Next, our university will integrate the spirit in President Xi’s letter into the work of improving the quality of international students’ training, establish an evaluation system of rewards and punishments with orderly competition, continue to promote the connotative development of international students’ education, and cultivate more and better sinophile personnel in international energy and power field oriented by the goal of high-quality international personnel.
